FMG Arts Monthly

August 1st Issue

August’s issue brings an eclectic mix of reading and exciting contemporary art work for your eyes to feast on.

Some of my personal favourites this month are ‘Summer in the East End’ – looking at the little galleries across the East end of London and guiding you through these hidden finds. If you are visiting London this summer, I would really recommend doing the unusual art tours, rather than hitting the big names. Discover what this vibrant part of London has to offer!

We also take a look at this year’s Edinburgh Art Festival, interviewing the director of the festival, Sorcha Carey. She offers us a great insight into what to see at the festival, how to get involved with arts festivals and how they are supporting the emerging artist.

For August’s issue, we have added a new element called ‘Fresh from Sheffield’ which takes a look at the creative arts scene from where we are based. This month’s article coincides with three video’s posted online and S1 Artspace. Please do take a read and give the videos a watch!
