The Fresh Meat Gallery Presents ‘Narrative, Point A to Point B’ a group exhibition showcasing art dealing with the theme of narrative, taking place at the LCB Depot, 31 Rutland Street, Leicester LE1 1RE.
The opening night will be on the 16th of July from 6pm until 8pm (all welcome!!). The exhibition will run from the 17th of July through to the 7th of August.
Narrative - the concept of the recording of an event taking place over a space of time. This can be summed up within an image where something is happening or has happened. It can alternatively be summed up in a concept of a journey or the passage of time regardless of anything apparent happening. Narrative is relative of time between two points.
The exhibition will deal with a wide range of different interpretations of the theme of narrative from the obvious uses i.e. referencing cinema, novels and documentary photography to the more obscure and coded, but with the joining idea of recorded time between two points and it all being relative.
“The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion”
